The Peer Recovery Coach is responsible for responding to persons in the emergency department or hospital inpatient setting who have experienced overdose or other challenges because of use or misuse of substances. After a patient is medically cleared by the Emergency Room Department (ED) team, the ED provider will connect the Peer Recovery Coach (PRC) to the patient via video tablet.
